On Ecosuffering…
a poem in four parts
a poem in four parts
1.
Trapped beneath concrete
Our Mother cries for freedom
Pavement enslaves her
Our Mother cries for freedom
Pavement enslaves her
2.
Unrelenting cold
Suffocating silently
Subdued, without breath
Suffocating silently
Subdued, without breath
3.
Claustrophobic night
I cannot feel her beneath
Here there is no life
I cannot feel her beneath
Here there is no life
4.
When ruins crumble
She may then find her freedom
What cost until then?
She may then find her freedom
What cost until then?
